Auto-Aim
Some Call of Duty games have a special "Zombie arcade mode". The mission is to kill all of the zombies. When auto-aim is enabled, just aim anywhere near a Zombie and scope your weapon - the gun will automatically lock on target. Auto-aim helps a lot when mowing down a whole throng of approaching Zombies.
Auto-Spot
In Battlefield games, the combatant can "mark" an enemy on the team radar by aiming at the enemy and pressing the "back" button on the controller. For Gears of War 3, a player can "mark" hisn enemy by aiming at the enemy and clicking the left stick. With auto-mark enabled, the player doesn't have to manually press the back or left stick button. Enemies will be automatically marked just by aiming.
Burst Firing
Typically used in war games. In many games, it takes more than one bullet to down an enemy. Burst Firing is designed to turn most semi-auto guns into "burst firing" guns. When the mod's Burst Firing feature is enabled, pull the trigger as normal to fire, but now your semi-auto gun will shoot 2, 3, 4 or 5-round burst - depending on your preference. In some games, burst firing can also be used on guns that are already full-auto to help reduce recoil and conserve ammunition.
Drop Shot
The most famous Call of Duty mod feature of all time. In the standard button layout, the player must use his right thumb to aim with the joystick. But while he is aiming, he is unable to reach over and hold down the "B button" to make his character drop to the ground to take cover from enemy fire. When the mod's Drop Shot feature is enabled, and the player pulls the right trigger to fire at the enemy, the modchip will also automatically press the "B button" for the player. This simple trick will cause your enemy to be left firing into the air above your head, while you drop to the ground and take the kill shot.
Dual-trigger Rapid Fire
Dual-trigger rapidfire gives you independent rapidfire on the left and right triggers. Dual trigger is very similar to Akimbo, excelt dual-trigger rapidfire lets you select whether you wish to fire the left weapon, right weapon, or both weapons at the same time.
Easy Akimbo
In Call of Duty, the soldier can arm himself with pistols in both hands and it is called "Akimb". Firing both pistols means that the player must akwardly pull both the left and right triggers. This can make aiming more difficult. When the modded controller's Akimbo Firing feature is turned on, only pull the right trigger - both the left and right pistols will fire. The Akimbo Firing can be combined with rapidfire for semi-auto pistols. Easy Akimbo + Rapidfire + Dual-wielding P99 pistols = total devastation!
Easy Sprint (Also known as Auto-Sprint)
In the Call of Duty games, pressing the left thumbstick will cause the combatant to sprint quickly to his next objective. Pressing the left thumbstick is akward, but combatants must sprint often to avoid being gunned down by the enemy. Pressing the left thumbstick can actually become painful after many hours of gameplay. With the auto-sprint feature of the mod is activated, the player only needs to pull on the left-trigger to initiate sprinting. Forget about that akward left thumbstick!
Fast Reload and Programmable Fast Reload
There is a glitch in the visual animation in the Call of Duty games when a combatant reloads his weapon. This glitch can be used to reload faster than your opponent. If you cancel the reload animation at exactly the right time, your gun's clip will be full, but you don't have to wait for the full reload animation to finish. Thus you can reliably reload faster than your enemy that does't have a modded controllers. This fast reload timing is very sensitive and different for every gun, so we suggest purchasing a controller with programmable fast reload delays.
Jitter
There is a glitch in the visual animation of the Call of Duty games. This glitch allows a special button combination to be pressed that exploits certain guns in the game, like 3-round burst weapons and shotguns. Jitter no longer works as of Modern Warfare 3, but still works in all previous Call of Duty games.
Patched
You might hear a gamer ask "Hey, has this been patched in Black Ops?". What the gamer is really asking is whether or not the game developers have released an XBOX Live or Playstation Network update that makes a mod feature stop working. For example, the Jitter Firing Mod has been patched in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). This means that Jitter no longer works in MW3. Sometimes when features are patched, our team can come up with a driver update for our modded controllers to get that feature working again. If we can get a feature working again, those software updates are always available for free to any customer who has purchased a USB programmable controller. For example, Fast Reload was also patched in Modern Warfare 3, but our team was able to release the Trophy System Fast Reload glitch to get Fast Reload working again.
Perfect Active Reload
In Gears of War games, when a gun runs out of ammo, it is possible to speed up the reload of the gun by tapping the right bumper at exactly the right time. When the mod's perfect active reload is set up for your favorite gun, you'll get perfect reloads every time, and you will no longer be distracted by trying to hit your perfect reload while bullets are raining down around you.
Programmable vs. USB Programmable
A programmable controller is capable of allowing you to change the speeds, delays, timings or other features in your mod to suit your gameplay. "USB Programmable" takes this one step further by allowing you to access all of the customizable features of your controller easily by connecting the modded controller to your Windows PC. Customers who own a Viking USB Programmable controller also will never pay for any future software updates that become available for their model of controller.
Quick Scope
In Call of Duty, it's possible to get a headshot just as the sniper rifle scopes in on the enemy's head. Timing is critical. When the mod's quick scope is activated, just tap the scope key - the mod will automatically finish scoping in, wait a pre-defined amount of time, take the shot, and then de-scope. With quick scope activated, you can focus your effort on aiming instead of trying to get the quick scope timing down. Some of our mods also offer programmable quick scope. Programmable quick scope allows you to tune in your quick scope to work the best on any Call of Duty game and with your favorite sniper rifles.
Rapid Fire
When rapid fire is enabled, you can turn virtually any semi-auto gun into a fully-automatic weapon. This creates a very unique advantage for players using semi-automatic weapons in various first-person shooter games.
Sniper Auto-hold Breath
In Call of Duty, a sniper combatant must press the left thumbstick while aiming to steady his breath before firing an accurate shot. This can be difficult (if not painful after hours of sniping on-line). When the mod's auto-sniper breath hold feature is activate, the combatant no longer has to press the left thumbstick to take a breath and steady the rifle. The mod will automatically steady the sniper's aim any time the player presses his aim button.
Turbo Knife
In Call of Duty, the combatant must wait between knife melee attacks. This wait time can be especially troublesome if the combatant misses his opponent, or wants to kill two or three enemies in rapid succession. When the mod's Turbo Knife mode is enabled, the wait time between knife attacks is greatly reduced, allowing the combatant to destory multiple opponents quickly with rapid knife attacks. Turbo Knife was patched in Black Ops, but is being used successfully in Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 2.
Turbo Riot Shield
In Call of Duty, the combatant must wait between riot shield melee attacks. This wait time is especially troublesome because it often takes multiple riot shield melee attacks to kill an oponent. When the mod's Turbo Riot Shield mode is enabled, the wait time between riot shield attacks is greatly reduced, allowing the combatant to destory multiple opponents quickly with rapid riot shield attacks.
